Turning Fourteen Months

Little en spent most his fourteen month in his mother’s birth land - Taiwan.

Taiwan is famous for its variety of public transportation. Little en took all the possible public transport that he could. Except that he’s too young to ride YouBike, he travelled with his papamama and experienced long hours on the plane, High Speed Rail, Big Bus, not to mention the countless times of taking Taipei Metro (MRT) all over Taipei.

Including riding this special shopping cart in Uniqlo at Hankyu Mall:

“Although it was hot and sweaty, plus daddy was sick for his entire trip, you still had a wonderful time in Taiwan didn’t you? I bet you did!”

A New Home for Toys

My Husband Bought Me a House

Charles bought me this set probably for my birthday or Christmas years ago when we were child-free. I finally got around to finish building it a few days ago :)

Combine all the small fragment of spare time, I think it took me about two and a half hours to complete this Pet Shop set. It’s the easiest and the smallest modular buildings that I worked on so far.

Turning Thirteen Months

**I know, I’m one month behind. Little en’s actually turning 14 months today.**

I started a different monthly photo project after little en turned one. I pasted up the paper number over his birthday boy decoration and pinned it to his cloth.  He was surprisingly very cooperative sitting on the chair :)

I try to take him out more often after one. This was the first time visiting Toys R Us. He loves anything that can rotate itself, especially wheels and ceiling fan...

I’m glad I caught this scene before I disciplined him not to go into the bathroom by himself…

Where Did the Remote Go

Something non-toyish are always kid’s favorite. I bet they love their home remote control much more than their toys… Charles decided to have a designated place for the remote and here’s where he found, not so much practical because I’m usually too lazy to get up and walk to that TV shelf. Anyhow, it is a guaranteed out-of-reach place from children though.

I was a little embarrassed with posting this teeny tiny project of Charles’. But then, I found that people actually sell this kind of product online. Some of them are even at a very ridiculous price like $107 on Amazon!!

First cut, sanded, and sprayed paint a piece of wood about two feet long.

Measured the length between the original TV brackets and used that measurement to install two additional brackets on that piece of wood.

Screwed them together…

There you go! Total cost for this project: $4.00 for two pieces of metal.

I know, my Lego modulars block most of the TV… I moved them here temporarily because Charles was upgrading the mantel at the same time...
