Our lovely el turned 5 early this month. We took a trip to Sequoia National Park for spring break and returned on the day of her birthday. I could tell from her eyes that she was a bit exhausted from the long drive; but it didn’t stop her being so happy and excited about turning 5!

My Own Creation

Today instead of posting an existing Lego set, I want to share some of my own creation. In Lego world called “MOC”. I like my collection of Lego to be displayed around the house, so I barely take them apart to pieces. Aside from the fact that I have limited time during the day and my lack of creativity, I don’t really have many spare bricks to work on something new. One day as I browsed some Lego creation on Pinterest, I found that it doesn’t take many pieces to build this little guy -- Wall-E.

The Greatest Laker of All Time

I was about to share some of the Lego Chinese New Year sets yesterday, but this tragic news struck me hard. Very hard. I was once a hard core Lakers fan and witnessed their best years of back-to-back and then the three-peat (2000-2002). Oh dear, that was the highlight of my high school years! I missed their first championship but after that, I marked every single game on my calendar and hardly missed any of them! I’ve always loved basketball since I was little, mostly because of the Japanese anime Slam Dunk; however, Lakers is the one that drew me into NBA games. I learned all the rules, the technical terms, and every player’s name. I love Lakers as a team yet Kobe Bryant indeed made the team shine ever so bright! His endeavor, loyalty, and that big unforgettable smile made him a legend! A legend of an era.

Two of My Favorite Things Put Together

Like I mentioned here, Lego released a LOT of great sets last year. This IDEA Central Perk set is definitely one of them. The theme of IDEA is created and voted by Lego fans, and they came up with the iconic scene of Central Perk from the famous TV show F•R•I•E•N•D•S! My all-time favorite TV episode in Lego form?! Two of my favorite things well combined together! I usually wait patiently for the promo gift that I want to collect or when Lego’s VIP double points launches to make purchases, but this time I could NOT wait any longer! I’m glad I did because it appears that the set is always out of stock.

過去幾年我只是單純收集樂高系列的 Modular Building, 有時會收入一些有收藏價值比如 Volkswagen Camper Van, Beetle, or some Character minifigures. 但 2019 年, 樂高發表了一系列完全正中我懷的作品, 就這樣一發不可收拾地開啟了無止盡的收藏之路... 在把聖誕裝飾全部打包裝箱前, 特地照了幾張我小小的 Winter Village:
