October Kids Free San Diego

October was here. I let the kids pick where they would like to go for Kids-Free San Diego: Sesame Place vs. Safari Park 

This day, 10/14/2023, was also the solar eclipse that could be visible in the west coast. We spent about 10 mins in the parking lot observing the partial eclipse. The park ranger also showed us through a piece of hole-punches paper, where the sunlight streamed through; and we spotted the eclipse from the shadows!

驅車南下回到加州,準備在拉森火山國家公園待上兩夜,入住園內的湖畔小木屋 Manzanita Lake Camping Cabin,基本上就是不需要帳篷的露營,小木屋內一切從簡,有前後兩間,後間有兩組上下舖,只有塑膠床墊沒有床單被子,前屋有張雙人床和桌椅

Busier Than Ever Summer

I’m going to post according to the correct date or at least closer to the date of the events… It’s currently in October already. I am way too behind and have so much to document the fun times, road trip, sightseeing, and travel that happened in the chu’s sweet home. 終於,在經過 Disneyland 的一些路牌下哥哥姊姊終於覺得奇怪了

"我們不是要去教會嗎?" 哥哥問

"我們要去不一樣的地方" 媽媽回答

等到車子轉進 Great Wolf Lodge “要去這裡的教會?” 哥哥始終轉不開上教會的念頭

"不是啦!我們要去 Spring Splash!" 樂樂讀著路邊的插牌說

Yesterday, I took little i to The Arboretum. It has resumed the free day on the third Tuesday of each month. I luckily reserved the tickets in the beginning of the month. This place brought me a lot of memories. Her brother and sister used to come here a lot.

Happy Valentine’s Day

Charles and I went snowboarding at Big Bear Mountain on Valentine's weekend. It was a miserable day for me. I felt that I was a three-year-old, whining about not being able to accomplish a task. This was not the first time I got on a snowboard, yet I gave up so quickly and refused to go for another round.

去年發現了聖地牙哥每年二月有個全館半價的博物館月(Visit: The New Children’s Museum);原來整個南加還有個 SoCal Museum Free-for-all Day,就在今年的2月5號; 我們選擇了從沒有參觀過的 Skirball Cultural Center,本館有艘專給孩子們設計,相當出名的挪亞方舟,終於有機會一窺真面目;即使不是 Free Day 來訪,入場費還是相當親民 $12成人,$9學生與年長者,$7二到十二歲孩童,每周星期四也是免費入場!!
