Honey Do List -- Bathroom Cabinet Doors

Additional Caddies for Shower Storage
The standard 16” x 14” x 4” built-in shower niche we picked was not the perfect size but we thought it was acceptable. Besides the fact that two of them would double the difficulty of laying the tiles, we tried to eliminate the unnecessity and keep just shampoo, conditioner, and a soap bar in that niche.
It turns out:

Keep Children Away From Toxin in the Bathroom

Ultimate Changing Table
We bought this Ikea SNIGLAR changing table (the cheapest one in Ikea) when en was born. All the diaper changing, cloths changing, hair drying, and teeth brushing happen on this table in the bathroom. Now en’s sister little el has joined the family. This table carries out more duties than before.
First, Charles added the casters. Sometimes the table can be in a way. It is nice to have it movable.

Bathroom Touch Up
I don’t think I’ve ever mentioned that our bathroom is “technically” DONE!
If you recall last update, Charles has (finally) finished them all a few weeks ago. (1) All the tiles were grouted and sealed. (2) We picked Martha Stewart Vanity Light Fixture from HomeDepot. Unlike the picture shown in HomeDepot, we hung them upside down. You can do it either way anyway so there’s no right or wrong.

Is the Bathroom Done Yet
就在小恩仔出生前幾天, 終於收到飄洋過海一個月的雙人洗手台, 趕在他出生前急匆匆地拼裝好, 原以為只要組裝好放入即可,沒想到還花了不少功夫;

Take it Easy
Right, Baby Chu hasn’t arrived yet, so hasn’t the bathroom. After the celebration of installing the toilet, everything’s sort of slow down a little. However, if we count all the details carefully, Charles has done quite a lot of fine work:
1. Door trim:
2. Wall tile:

So Nice to See You Again
**Wow, this is the first time that Charles actually demands a post!**
It proves that we’re able to live without you but we sure miss you so much!!!!

Speed Up

Finally Get to See the Difference
Happy New Year :)
Charles got a few days off from Christmas to New Year. Look at what he has done!! so much warmer feeling isn’t it?
Just to remind ourselves it was like this two weeks ago:
And now, we not only have a FLOOR but also a CEILING in the bathroom!!
Charles also placed this beautiful drop-in tub to the right place. Our bathroom is wide enough that we can place a 6ft tub (American Standard Evolution 36” x 72”), a little bigger than the usual standard tub (30” x 60”). In addition, we get to fill the rest space with a decoration wall on the left.
And then here comes the drywall part as always. This greenish drywall is not the color that we pick for the bathroom. It is the mold-resistant drywall that’s supposed to go with every bathroom. Very important.
Speaking of color, how about this one: Benjamin Moore Color Trend for year 2014:

Two Months Later
Yep, this is the current status of our bathroom. You may not see much differences from the last update when we demolished the bathroom:
Obviously, both floor and ceiling are gone and we’ve got a spiderman climbing in the attic!

Living in the House Without Bathroom
We’re not kidding. Our house is now a house with two bedrooms and zero bathroom. Let’s just keep how we solve our bathroom needs under the hat…
We hired out the demolition. Only one day of work everything was gone. I thought it would be bigger when the room is empty but it actually seemed much smaller!
We got bad luck that the demo guys accidentally cracked the shared wall of our bedroom :(
So Charles got some additional work to patch the wall.

Tackling the Bathroom
Before we get the new built-in bookshelves done, we have something else in minds... Here comes the new category in thechusweethome: Bathroom!!!
What isn’t working:
1. The former owner left us a huge big tub that we rarely use because our water tank cannot supply that much of water to keep it full and warm
