The standard 16” x 14” x 4” built-in shower niche we picked was not the perfect size but we thought it was acceptable. Besides the fact that two of them would double the difficulty of laying the tiles, we tried to eliminate the unnecessity and keep just shampoo, conditioner, and a soap bar in that niche.
It turns out:
We use different shampoos. he likes shower gel. I like soap bar. And now adding up toddler’s wash and toys, baby’s head-to-toe wash, and different kinds of facial cleanser… etc.; it is impossible to fit everything into one or even two niches.

To avoid drilling any holes in tiles, I found this 4-tier shower tension caddy to solve the clutter.
We purposely put it away from the shower head so that it doesn’t rust too easily. In addition, it can be hidden behind the shower curtain because we always slide the curtain to the left side when we walk out the tub.
keep it organized!
