A Few Moments From 2019...

Today is the first day of 2020 but I’m gonna archive this post to 2019. I wanted to remind myself how beautiful and full of joy life was in 2019 even when it felt like a series of frustration to me… Good thing is that we don’t take pictures when we were mad or frustrated. We all want the good memories last, don’t we?

Goodbye Summer, Hi School Year

恩仔開學第三週了, 全家一起適應著全新的規律, 原本以為週一至週五每天不到七點起床的日子會是個痛苦開始, 事實上每天這樣稍稍規律的早起帶給媽媽我穩定充實一天的開始, 尤其是星期一, 感覺好像按下 reset 的按鈕; 車距離家不到五分鐘的學校, 我故意早二十分鐘就出門, 把車停在沒那麼靠近校門的街邊, 可以和恩仔手牽手走一點路, 提醒自己不要叨念, 聊聊天上的雲朵或是停在電線杆上的鸚鵡, 緊緊的一個擁抱 kiss goodbye; 有些日子小樂把早餐吃得快, 也要送哥哥上學, 明日小樂也要開學了, 一周兩次的小小班, 因著哥哥上學的關係, 她也好期待的模樣 :)

2019.07.06 - 08 San Diego, California, Untied States

In July, our family went down to San Diego to visit a dear friend of mine, who’s having her first baby boy. We made this visit to become a 3-day-2-night trip for the kids. Our original itinerary didn’t include any of the theme parks. We wanted to be a little laid back like going to the beach and maybe visit some museums. But then some other friends of ours decided to take their kids to Legoland the same weekend. We were like why not?

Happy 1st Birthday!! 去年的今天, 蒙上帝眷顧, 妳平安順利地抵達這個世界, 看著妳健康的小臉蛋依偎在媽媽身上, 那種感動不言而喻, 那真是一個美好的日子; 走過這有點瘋狂又熱鬧的一年, 媽媽真難以想像, 一個抱在懷裡的小小嬰兒如今已經是個擁有自己的個性的小小孩了...

en's Graduation

en has been attending TinyTots in our community for more than two years. He has been to the graduation three times! However, this year was ultra special because this year was the REAL one. en will be going to Kindergarten this coming fall! How exciting!!

en is going to kindergarten this coming fall, which means the days we get to pick a random weekdays getaway to avoid crowds and book better prices comes to an end. That means we are going to play hard this summer!

Racing Against Time

Six months. That’s how long I was away from this little space of mine. During these months, I felt that I was always juggling my three children and the house chores, and everyday felt like racing against time to get this or that done. At first we were just busy packing for our visit to Taiwan and then unpacking and then endless driving to point A to point B… I thought taking a break from the computer at night could buy me some time. Oh, who am I kidding, the thing called smartphone can kill it all. ANYWAYS! It just doesn’t feel right having this vacant months in thechusweethome for so long. My littlest little i is going to be ONE next month! How can I let her absent here?! It’s time to keep my diary going. It just felt right for me.

It was like a little castle for the children, 8 kids (+2 babies), to run around, to explore, or to make each other mad and laugh...
