Out and About | Summer Fun at Palm Springs

en is going to kindergarten this coming fall, which means the days we get to pick a random weekdays getaway to avoid crowds and book better prices comes to an end. That means we are going to play hard this summer!
We started up our summer fun to Palm Springs back on the memorial weekend. We originally had a road trip plan to the Grand Canyon, but things happened and we changed plan. We picked a closer destination to Palm Springs instead. I thought, if we only spend one night at Palm Springs, we might as well spend wisely. I searched for a family friendly hotel and found Omni Rancho Las Palmas Resort & Spa. We booked the last day of the Memorial weekend that gave us the cheapest price. (If I remember correctly, it’s about $160/night) Kiddos got the sofa sleeper and parents got the King size bed!

Aside from its upscale facilities, it has a small water park inside the resort. The most feel-worthy part is the LAZY RIVER and a little beach area where we can "dock" and play before the next round!!

We visited Cabazon Dinosaurs the next day on our way back. We were debating if we should buy the tickets to go inside or not ($13/ Adult; $11/ Ages 3-12; $10 Senior/Military). It was hard to say no to en, this dino lover, so we did. We probably won’t visit it again but I’m glad we did.

Those auto moving dinosaurs scared poor el out of her mind.

The park is very small but has a whole lot of dinosaurs. I can feel their effort to plant a few activities for the visitors, like washing off mud from some minerals, finding the rocks in a sand pit, climbing all the way to a giant T-Rex’s mouth...etc.

Oh, when did my boy grow this tall?!?
