On New Year’s Eve 2022 to New Year’s Day of 2023, we spent a night in a bar at The Inn at Death Valley. The story was a lot more complicated than it seemed...
We invited a few families to join a camping trip to Death Valley. Two of the families decided to book the hotel instead of camping in the tent. We had a great time visiting the sand dunes and the famous Badwater Basin on 12/31/2022; but when we returned to our campsite, a sand storm started to form. With the strong wind and the rain, it was almost impossible to stay in the tent for the night. All the hotel rooms were booked so the kids and I ended up staying with the family that already had a room. The dads then stayed in their vehicles… It was definitely something out of the ordinary travel experience. This trip was meant to be a very special one for our family because it was the first time we traveled with our long-time (20 years of long-time) family friends. I still couldn’t believe that they had to spend that night in the car. What an extraordinary way to greet the year of 2023…

en unavoidably started his eye glasses journey this year.
The extreme weather has become more frequent in recent years. Hailing is not a rare phenomenon anymore.
Mommy got to enjoy a few performances. I asked el out to watch The Eras Tour in the movie theater with me :) Thank goodness she said YES!
We also watched Nutcrackers! Magical Christmas Ballet in Pasadena Playhouse during the holiday season.
2023 was the last summer we got to dip in our backyard pool because…
There is a "big-going-on" in our backyard!! (to be continued…)
