Gear Up for the Lunar New Year

Little i and I discovered a teeny tiny museum, Glib Museum of Arcadia Heritage, in the neighborhood last year. Upon our visit, it offered a variety of pens and red envelopes for the guests to decorate for the Lunar New Year.

Here it was, proudly on the wall for the special exhibit.

The museum is petite yet full of the city's history and diverse cultural knowledge. We were shocked by an interesting fact that in Vietnam, people celebrate the Year of CAT instead of the Chinese traditional Year of Rabbit! Totally blew my mind…

On January 1st of the Lunar Calendar, we gathered with relatives for a Lunar New Year Lunch. We were lucky to have all these precious hand-me-down traditional outfits. It is such a blessing that after all these years the clothes were still mint and neat and they seemed to fit the kids well!

Everybody was all dressed up~
