Camping | Death Valley Fills Our Hearts With Awe

Charles and I love exploring the natural beauty that we’ve never been before, but Death Valley really made us want to revisit again! We had an extraordinary camping experience back in Thanksgiving week at Death Valley. There were so many awesome scenic spots that visitors like us can’t get enough of it. Although it was a LONG five hours drive, it was totally worth it.

The campsite was clean and convenient, and the most amazing thing was that there were NO BUGS bugging around!

Our destination was actually Furnace Creek, where the weather was much more friendly than the real Death Valley. We took a short break and had cup noodle lunch at national natural landmark, Trona Pinnacle. It was a rough drive! We were there testing our off-road capability of our 4Runner. XD
The next day we took a short hike into Mosaic Canyon, where we ventured in climbing up and down the marble walls that lays along the narrow path.

And then we stopped by this gigantic field of Sand Dunes. The kids had the most wonderful time there. They rolled and smashed themselves into the fine sand. It was interesting to find that the majority of the sand is somehow blew and trapped in this particular area, which creates this awesome spot.

We arrived at Badwater, the lowest elevation in North America before sunset.

This wide walkway is paved with white salt!

The third day we visited the visitor center and drove a couple more scenic spots like Zabriskie Point and Artists Palette, and then headed to Las Vegas. There were just too many great places to visit all at once! We stayed one night at Las Vegas to freshen up ourselves, and I couldn't find one good photo to compare with the beauty of Death Valley.
Death Valley, we will be back!
