2021.03.28-04.01 Sequoia National Park & Slick Rock Recreation Area, Three Rivers, California, United States
Travel via Airbnb has become our favorite way to explore places. This spring break we extended the stay to 4 days 3 nights, so that we could slow down our paces in nature.
The house we stayed has a large backyard with long grass, tall trees, plus a tiny creek. It felt like having a small forest of our own. The kids spent quite some time playing out there.
We visited Sequoia National Park the next day, the Congress Trail, to be specific. This was not the first time I visited the world's largest living tree. Maybe the first time was a charm because the General Sherman and its surrounding trees somehow grew smaller and shorter than what I had in mind...(shrug)
We all agreed that the favorite part of this trip is this place called Slick Rock Recreation Area, which is only 7 minutes away from our Airbnb.
