The summer vacation has almost come to an end. One more week to go then the big brother and sister are returning to school life. So, what have we done for the summer?
All three of them participated in a four weeks long community sports blitz…
en and el returned to the church for a week long VBS program.
We started to visit friends and family or have them come over for some water splash and gatherings.
HomeDepot’s monthly Kids Workshop was back!
Our city’s Camp-a-Palooza was back too!
The highlight of this summer was en's track & field meet! He was able to advance his 400m & long jump to the California State Games! The meet was held at University City High School in San Diego. Although en didn’t take home any metals, (12th in 400m & 7th in long jump) the experience of competing with all the elite athletes was beyond amazing.
However, the wait for the upcoming events was a bit dreadful, especially under the hot hot sun. Both el and little i were so supportive and patient. They kept themselves busy and calm, and they were sincerely proud of their brother.
Unfortunately, we brought home Covid after the meet. Charles somehow magically avoided it. The kids got rid of it in a few days, but it took me almost two weeks to be completely out of the woods… It is indeed one of those unforgettable summers!
