So, Charles tore down our bedroom in November, 2020. Like all our home projects, he only has weekends to work on it. As it progresses slowly, the room is now more presentable than four months ago.
December, 2020: Remove the popcorn ceiling. Install new light fixture.
February, 2021: Finish the original wooden floor. We hired an expert to do the sanding, patching, coating, and staining the floor dark brown. When the carpet was removed, the floor was a disaster. There were so many places that needed to be patched and repaired, especially the closet area. It only took the man three days to complete it all. I can spot the patches if I look closely. It feels so good to see the floor neat and clean.
As of today, Charles is working on all the trims around the room. I’m hearing the sound of a stapler, nailing something into the wall like music. :)
