My spring babies turned 8 & 10 this year.
I love every stage of motherhood but I have to admit that the combination of 8 & 10 years old is a remarkably wonderful time. They are at the age of enjoying the time to themselves and also be able to have fun and be creative when they play together. I especially love the moments that they tell their opinions, ask insightful questions, and share their laughter generously. Both Charles and I grew up as the only child. Seeing them bonding and growing together was new to us. Although we need to put out the fire among them from time to time, it’s nice to have siblings.
en invited a few of his close friends and had a Video-Games-On theme Party at home.
As for el, she wanted to go somewhere special like en’s birthday last year to Great Wolf Lodge; so we went to Sesame Street Place at Chula Vista. The water rides were closed due to the weather, but it seemed that the girls enjoyed the rest of the rides pretty well.
The girls went on the Super Grover’s Box Car Derby like 5-6 times.
Being a sister is a little tricky for el, because she is older to the youngest and younger to the oldest. I think she is exceptionally good at her roles. She’s a loyal, caring, and loving sister.
el finally got her first two teeth out |
el completed this 2K pcs Lighthouse Lego set all by herself! |
