Disney Cruise | Where the Magic Meet the Sea

Day III Itinerary: Arriving Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point → Beach & Ocean → Lunch at True-True BBQ → Snorkeling → Return to the Cruise → Moana II @ Buena Vista TheaterPirate Night Begin → Dinner at Animator's PalatePirate Night Fireworks Show

Day 3 was the busiest day of all. We spent a large amount of time at the beach at Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point; It is the newly open private property (debut exclusively to Disney Cruise guests in June, 2024) on the island of Eleuthera, the Bahamas. In addition, the crew members announce pirate night the same day in the morning.

To get to the designated beach, we needed to walk across a lengthy bridge, approximately 0.5miles from the ship, and then took a tram to the other side of the island. It was nice to learn that the lengthy bridge was designed to protect the coral reef below.

What made the beach so special was this beautiful pink sand! It is caused by the tiny creature called Foraminifera. Their empty pinkish shells washed ashore and mixed with the regular sand.
After the whole morning at the beach, we headed to lunch that was offered on the island, True-True BBQ. It was a self-serve buffet with burgers, rice bowls, and BBQ ribs. Must not forget their unlimited ice-cream!

We finally met our first character greeter, Donald Duck!

After lunch, The kids had no intention to play at the newly built water play area; so we went back to the beach again. This time we went a bit further and found a better spot for snorkeling!

Testing my underwater shots...

Lookout Cay was so new that a few excursions were still not available yet. I was really looking forward to bike around the coast or around its nature route but there was no bikes for rent at the time. We returned to the cruise ship close to 3pm. Then, we wasted no time switching to our pirate night outfits, and soon after caught the movie Moana II in the Buena Vista Theater followed by a deck party "Mickey & Minnie's Pirates in the Caribbean”

I guessed that the crew members decorated the interior of the ship with pirate theme while we were on the island.

We entered our dining hall, Animator's Palate, with our jaws open. It was originally built with lots of animator’s creation and art tools theme; now spicing up with more pirate related taste, it was spectacular!

I kind of hoped the Pirate Night would be the last day of this itinerary because today was already a pretty eventful day. As expected, el was very much exhausted by dinner time. Dad took her to the cabin after dinner.

On the other hand, en and little i held out until the last. We eventually spotted Captain Jack Sparrow at the Pirates Rockin' Parlay Party and concluded with so called "treasure in the sky" the fireworks!

Next and last: Sea Day
